How many steps should I set for my daily steps challenge goal?

FUN FACT: Gladstone has a community step goal of 50 Million Steps in the month of February. If 500 people do 5000 steps for 20 days we will reach our community goal.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer for daily steps that is the same for everyone. Your daily steps total is dependant on so many factors like age, weight, medical condition/status, work requirements, recovery ability, physical fitness...etc.

However, in terms of daily activity, there seems to be a sweet spot between 5000 - 10,000 steps per day to maximize daily movement (see images below). If you feel if t that is high work up to it and commit to completing those steps during the challenge each day.

FEBRUARY IS THE PERFECT TIME TO LEARN HOW MANY STEPS YOU DO EACH DAY!

How many steps do you currently do each day?

We love the FEBFIT STEP Challenge, for so many reasons.
First of all it’s a free community event, that anyone can participate.

But more importantly...

There are no diet plans to follow.

You don’t have to go to the gym. There’s no special equipment you need.

There’s no weigh-ins or scales.

The challenge only requires you to track and record the steps you already take each day. That’s it.

Let me ask you when is the last time you counted your steps for a month?

What about for a week?

It may not seem particularly interesting or important to track your steps everyday for 7, 14 or even 28 days but those numbers are vital for knowing so much about who you are as a person how you spend your time on energy.

Imagine just by tracking your steps you were able to make an objective and informed decision about how, when, and why you would like to spend your energy each day.

It has been said that you can’t manage what you don’t measure.

If you are someone who struggles with their health. That complains about their weight. Who’s not sure how they are tracking along with the important categories of life... it might come as a surprise to you that you might be over or underperforming in selfcare when it comes to the steps you take.

Do you know how many steps you take each day?

If you don't, join the Feb Fit Steps Challenge.
